Tips and Tricks to make your best presentation

In broad terms, what makes a good presentation is knowledge. You can add all of the design aspects and endless details, but if you do not really know the information that you are presenting and you just memorize a script, it does not reflect well. Your audience needs to believe what you are sharing and they need to be interested as well. There are many aspects that go into creating a good presentation. In this post, I will share what is vital to create a great, impressive presentation.

Little Info on-Lotta Info off

When presenting to a group of people the best way to present your slides to them is with minimal words. Typically when you put a paragraph or full story in your presentation, that is all the audience can focus on. They will read the entire thing or take notes on what your text says. To keep all attention on you and little attention on your presentation keep in mind to speak the information rather than make your audience read it all. This will also be more impressive because you will share more information than expected.

Design 101

When creating a presentation design IS important. However, there cannot be too much on the screen because then it will be chaotic/distracting. Make sure to organize your images in a pattern that makes sense to your theme, topic and audience.

Keep in mind that brevity is key. Keeping your audience engaged is so important and the second you lose one person’s attention, it is all over. Know all of the information that is vital to share, but also do not make a slide for every single different detail. Make concise slides that bring similar points together. There are different ways to do so, but just remember that not everyone can pay attention to a 20-slide presentation, so make keep your number of slides as short as possible.

"The best presentations are when the presenter knows what they are talking about to the point where they can go into detail without looking at index cards or their slides. That keeps the audience engaged because the presenter knows more than his presentation which is impressive."

Every campaign, business, presentation, etc. have a target audience. When practicing presenting your presentation make sure to add quotes or different information that you would imagine your audience finds interesting. Your target audience needs to be engaged for the entirety of your presentation so that they know every ounce of information that you shared. Gear your details and information in your presentation toward them.

When making a presentation, know your information, dress to impress, and most importantly, keep your audience engaged! Remember to make eye contact, speak clearly, and pay attention to your body language. You can do all of these things and have the best presentation if you follow these tips.
